Wind engineering is an increasingly important aspect of skyscraper design, as we construct more and taller buildings near to each other, along coastlines increasingly subject to intense storm events. Investments of billions of dollars can be put at risk by buildings swaying unacceptably. Modeling these events has taken on new dimensions in both the digital and physical wind-tunnel realm. This workshop will convene to take stock of emerging methods and the challenges of accurately representing and designing a response to urban wind hazards.
