Session 6H: Internal Considerations

22 October 2018
11:15 AM – 12:45 PM

Recent CTBUH research has shown that the average lifespan of the 100 tallest buildings ever demolished was a mere 42 years. Clearly, the industry has much to do in terms of improving the longevity of what we build, and just as importantly, what has already been built. The efficiency, performance, and overall longevity of tall buildings can be increased through strategies as varied as proactive refurbishment, energy-saving and productivity-boosting digital tools, and rethinking the measurement and marketing of tall buildings to better take into account how we use materials.
