Considering the array of uses housed in today’s high-rises, and the intense demands this places on their MEP systems, constant innovation is needed to make sure tall buildings continue to function at a high level of performance. Environmental requirements for energy use and 24-7 occupancy raise further challenges, and underscore interdependencies between building systems that were not contemplated a generation ago. This demands holistic, integrated thinking from the start of design, and collaboration that goes well beyond specifying products. This workshop provides a crash course in systems thinking for optimizing the living, breathing tall buildings of the 21st century. When: Saturday, 20 October 2018 8:00am-12:00pm
